The weather will surely turn nice again soon, and it won’t be long until school is out. What will your kids do this summer? About Our Kids (AOK) Summer Camp is a safe, fun, healthy place for your kids to spend the summer.
AOK Summer Camp 2014 will run from May 27 through August 8 at both sites (Nathan’s Place and the Wolf Building). Children at Summer Camp will have a blast with a variety of age-appropriate activities planned. There will be swimming, movies at the Plaza, fishing, games and archery. They will complete service projects and learn about cooking and other essential life skills. Every day at AOK Summer Camp provides a new, exciting and educational adventure.
Summer Camp staff also serve nutritious breakfast, lunch, snack and even dinner, if desired.
Applications for AOK Summer Camp can be found online at aokyouth-2016.mymodernweb.com as well as at all AOK locations. Click here to download the application. Or pick one up next time you pick up your kids from after school care, or grab one while you are visiting the AOK Open House night (Tuesday, May 13).
The cost of Summer Camp (K-5) is $12 per full day or $7 per half day with a $35 activity fee. Nathan’s Place activity fee is $50 but there is NO daily charge. All participants must also have a $20 Plaza Movie Pass and a Lamar Aquatic Park Pass ($75 per individual or $150 per family). AOK has provided passes the past several years but cannot this year due to lack of grant funding.
It may be another month until summer, but do not delay with your registration. AOK Summer Camp is always a blast, and you won’t want your kids to miss it!
