Announcement
Effective immediately, in order to do our best to protect all concerned, all AOK staff and youth attending AOK After School and Nathan’s Place will be required to wear a mask when social distancing is not possible. This policy will be re-evaluated within 4 weeks.
For questions please contact Jerod, Zach, or Kelsi at one of the buildings.
AOK would like to thank Immanuel Lutheran in Lockwood for the opportunity to speak at their Red Ribbon Week assembly last Tuesday. We appreciate their help, support, and dedication to end substance abuse in our world.
We would also like to give a shout out to all that participated in Red Ribbon Week! Well done!
What is Red Ribbon Week and How Did it Come About??
The Red Ribbon Campaign began when drug traffickers in Mexico City murdered DEA agent Kiki Camarena in 1985. This began the continuing tradition of displaying Red Ribbons as a symbol of intolerance towards the use of drugs. The mission of the Red Ribbon Campaign is to present a unified and visible commitment towards the creation of a drug-free America.
Red Ribbon Week is an ideal way for AOK, individuals and communities to unite and take a visible stand against drugs. Show your personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle through the symbol of the Red Ribbon, October 23–31.
