Announcement
Effective immediately, to protect all concerned, all AOK staff and youth attending AOK After School and Nathan’s Place will be required to wear a mask when social distancing is not possible. For questions please contact Jerod, Zach, or Kelsi at one of the buildings.
Thank You
AOK youth and staff would like to thank Gauxpro Performance Horses and Margaux Tucker for letting us tour her facilities and ride the horses. All youth enjoyed riding, grooming, and leading the horses inside the arena. We also thank her for the pizza and Fanta that was provided for snacks.
Drug-Free Message of the Week
Research indicates that when there is increased community awareness, education and involvement around overdose symptoms and the availability of naloxone, overdose deaths decrease within those communities. Did you know you can be part of the solution right here at home? AOK has FREE Naloxone available at all times located at the top of the stairs located at 208A West 10th Street, Lamar. Instructions on how to use this life saving drug is located with the package as well as online at aokyouth.org/rcc-project.
Meal Delivery
The holidays are upon us and we at AOK are doing our best to give more than ever. For the past eight months, AOK has prepared and delivered nightly meals to local youth in need. We are currently serving more than 130 meals each day, Monday–Friday. Please, if you know of any youth that could use a nightly meal, please contact Jerod at [email protected] to get you set up.
